Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

item upgrade; find more info,, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment results in a linear increase in a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats on your weapon and armor. This can be done through a number of means, including the use of upgrade components and also upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. Additionally there are many items that can be reforged, which could increase their stats.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. The primary method to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components, which are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while other components offer an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be placed on any type of equipment and offer lower bonuses than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs can only be found in gathering tools. They provide a variety bonuses, from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to supplying additional crafting materials.

Select the item in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected stats after the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will read Blocked if you do not have enough of either.

The upper-right corner displays the number of upgrade components required for the specific item. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the level of the upgrade and its rarity, but it can be reduced using a variety of methods, including purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them to other players.

Many weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia. Some can be upgraded with the suffix. These upgrades alter the name of the item level upgrade and add an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey information via visuals. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, making them even more effective at conveying a message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a range of values that it could improve a stat by in the form of an item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This isn't the actual amount at which glyphs can improve a stat, but the maximum value by which it can do so. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier as well as the quality of the item that you are admiring.

Most upgrade components slotted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the equipment in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from a piece of, you will need to salvage it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is placed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.

A glyph added to an item level upgrade can cause it to become unstable and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you take it down. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to give it a bonus. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly rather than all at one time. This can be helpful for players who are taking a lot of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes of weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from many sources, such as mystery boxes or rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Each reroll token grants players a new random affix, which is usually superior to the original. Reroll tokens can also be used to upgrade weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, however they can still be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button", you can recycle the recycled items. This will change the design of the item's window and let up to six items be selected for recycling. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item's rarity and its own level, so higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls will roll a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it scores higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.

Rerolling is an excellent way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be diminished by the number of rerolls it took to get it to the final ilvl. This effect of lowering is most effective for Diadems and rings, which have no other options for raising ilvls.

The reroll system has been criticized by players as being too expensive, and it would be more equitable to let players pay for it using money or food items that would allow players to alter their build without a lot of time and energy. However, paid rerolls are not something the developers want to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they plan to add an ability to change races in the near future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to level up an item upgrade. The first is to increase the upgrade amount, which increases the value of upgrading the stat. The second option is to boost the impact of the upgrade, which increases damage or healing for a stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. When this is done, the new item upgrader mod will keep its iLevel but it will be upgraded with the effects of the upgraded type of item.

When upgrading your items It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades are random. In the majority of cases, a better roll is based on the glyphs. However, there are times when a greater or special roll may occur. The item type will also determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item to a special kind of item, it's likely to receiving an upper level.

The cost of upgrading items can be expensive especially when you're upgrading a piece of gear from the normal to the legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will depend on the iLevel it's built upon and the number of upgrade levels. Some upgrade tracks also require crests to reach the next level.

If you're fortunate, your upgraded item may attain the highest level on its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional effect. This will provide a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect changes with each upgrade level. In general the effect of upgrading is increased by a factor of +3.

The iLevel also changes depending on the item's upgrade path and its base level. For instance the weapon that has been upgraded from a unique or rare to an exceptional item will have a chance to get the enhanced defense of the new base type of item.
