World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase 3% of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade item component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the equipment to which it is used (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item level upgrade could be costly, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Utilizing a Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example an Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrade the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could become more expensive even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as a dolphin). The item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting back to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take each piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses listed above.
